Really delicious. Black sesame paste is a must-have for me in the pantry. Prior to this I've been buying imports from China (less fresh) or tahini (also great, but not the same - Chinese style sesame paste is made from roasted sesame, which brings out so much rich nutty flavor, and is less bitter). This reminds me of the black sesame paste I used to eat in Beijing growing up. Delicious on bread or on its own, and I look forward to trying it in pastries and baked goods. Thank you for bringing this local version to us!
It would be even better if you could add a pure sesame version (either black or brown/roasted sesame) without the sugar and the bread crumbs, so it could be more versatile for cooking. Would also be great to gift to relatives who are watching their sugar intake.
