Hot Cocoa with a Black Sesame Twist
Nothing warms up the soul like a mug of hot cocoa during winter! Try this easy, <10 min recipe with a black sesame twist using our Black Sesame Crunchy Butter.
2 cup milk, plant-based okay (we used Three Trees Black Sesame Milk) (240ml)
2 tbsp maple syrup (20g)
2 tbsp cocoa powder (8g)
2 tbsp Black Sesame Crunchy Butter (30g)
- pinch of salt
1 cup whipped cream, cold
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp Black Sesame Crunchy Butter
Black Sesame Whipped Cream
In a small saucepan over medium heat, add all the ingredients. Use a whisk to remove any clumps. Reduce the heat when it starts to bubble.
Keep whisking until warmed to desired temperature. Pour into a mug
To make the whipped cream, pour in the whipped cream and sugar in a medium mixing bowl and use a handheld mixer to whip the cream until medium stiff peaks.
Fold in 1 tbsp of Black Sesame Crunchy Butter to the whipped cream.
Top the hot cocoa with black sesame whipped cream and enjoy!
