Black sesame ice cream was one of my favorite flavors growing up, and this salted black sesame einspanner latte is a homage to that! It’s sweet, salty, creamy, and nutty, with the perfect splash of espresso. It’s so addictive, and the touch of salt brings out all the other flavors. This drink is definitely a treat, but it's worth every bit!

Ingredients
Salted Black Sesame Cream
-
½ tbsp Crunchy Black Sesame Butter
-
¼ cup heavy cream
-
1 tsp sugar
-
1 pinch of salt
Iced Latte
-
1 cup milk
-
1 cup ice
-
1-2 shots of espresso
-
1 tsp Crunchy Black Sesame Butter
-
2 tsp simple syrup
Soft Whipped Cream (Optional)
-
¼ cup heavy cream
-
2 tsp sugar
-
1 tsp Crunchy Black Sesame Butter (garnish)
Directions
Add black sesame spread, sugar, salt, and heavy cream to a small cup or bowl and whip until soft and fluffy but still pourable. Use a handheld frother for the best results and single-serving cream.
Brew 1-2 shots of your favorite espresso beans using an espresso machine. A medium or dark roast works best with the nutty flavors! You can replace espresso with instant espresso powder, coffee concentrate, or a Moka Pot espresso.
Add 1 tsp of Crunchy Black Sesame Butter to the hot espresso and mix until completely melted.
Add ice, simple syrup, and milk to a separate glass. Add your brewed espresso and finish with the salted black sesame cream. Garnish with a dollop of softly whipped cream and a drizzle of Crunchy Black Sesame Butter.
Mix with a straw and enjoy!
Recipe Note
Feel free to adjust the amount of black sesame spread and sugar based on your preferences. You can also omit the paste in the espresso for a lighter black sesame flavor.
